Description of Work :

Construction of high level four lane bridge (total length 815 Meters including approaches) was consisting of :

Substructure : RCC

Superstructure : PSC girder and RCC slab (11 x 42 m + 2 x 41.32 m PSC Spans)

Remarks :
  • The depth of flowing water was 5 to 7 m and piling was done with earthen inland and steel platform and inhousely fabricated structural sheet walling in River portion.

  • The shuttering / staging were designed especially for the heavy structural member for better quality and finish.

  • Corrosive Resistant Steel (CRS) was used for entire work.

  • Method of concrete - Entire concrete was carried out with help of fully automatic batching plant (ribbon type mixer with high RPM ), capacity more than 30 m3 per hour and placing of concrete was carried with the help of imported concrete pump and transit mixer.

  • All 42 metres 'I' Section Girders were cast and side shifted and placed on its permanent position.
