Year of Completion : December 2006 (completed in a period of 19 months against allotted time period of 24 months i.e. ahead of schedule by 5 months)
 
Description of Work :

The river Bridge with approaches is consisting of:

Foundation :1200 / 1500 mm dia bored cast in situ Pile Foundation

Substructure : RCC Wall type Pier

Superstructure :20 m RCC x  7 nos. + 40 m PSC x 11 nos.

I section Girders, RCC Slab and Wearing Coat

Length of bridge 828 m

Approach : RCC Box : 21 m x 9 m x 2.25 m and retaining wall.

Remarks :
  • The piling of 1200 (50 nos.) and 1500 mm dia (96 Nos.), up to 42 m depth (maximum) has been carried out with 8 nos. of Piling Rigs.

  • The PSC girders in the river portion were cast on temporary steel trusses.

  • The entire work completed in a period of 19 months against stipulated period of 24 months i.e. 5 months ahead of schedule. This was possible due to meticulous planning of work.
